Xiangqi Opening: Central Cannon vs Left Stacked Double Cannons


1. C2=5  C8+1
2. H2+3  C2=8


This is one of the rare Xiangqi Openings uses by Black to against Red's central cannon.

C8+1 is to protect the center pawn
C2=8 is to prevent Red to play R1=2

3. R1+1  P9+1

Since Red R1=2 is not possible, Red normally will play R1+1 to develop his right chariot.
Black P9+1 is one of the variation to counter-play Red's R1+1.
